MX Player is an Indian video streaming and video on demand platform developed by MX Media & Entertainment. It has over 280 million users globally. The platform currently operates on an ad-supported model and has a streaming library of over 150,000 hours across twelve languages. It is available on iOS, Android and the web.
In 2011, MX Player launched as a video player. It featured subtitle support and offline video viewing capabilities. As a video player, it is available worldwide.
Initially available only in India, in March 2020, MX Player was relaunched as an OTT platform with original programming. It has licensed contents from various Indian and International studios including FilmRise, Sonar Entertainment, Screen Media Films, Goldmine, Hungama, Shemaroo, Paramount Pictures and Sony Entertainment. As an OTT platform, it is available in select markets including India, USA, UK, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, Bangladesh and Nepal.
Its original programming includes such categories as talk shows, comedies, dramas, romance, reality shows, music programs, game shows, thrillers, historical dramas, and crime stores in several languages (Hindi, Tamil, Kannada, Telugu, Bengali, Punjabi, Marathi, and Malayalam).
Just like most of the streaming services which are geo-restricted, MX Player is no exception. It detects your IP and, depending on your location, you are either allowed or blocked from streaming the content. If you travel or stay anywhere outside its normal operating area, you will see the message that the stream is not available for your location.

Stream MX Player with Getflix Smart VPN
Geo-restricted services can also be accessed with Smart VPN. This technology also gives you extra protection by redirecting your entire traffic through a dedicated server. By hiding your IP and encrypting your traffic, it keeps the prying eyes of anyone outside away from your online activities. No one will be able to compromise your connection even if you use unprotected Wi-Fi networks widely available in public areas such as airports, hotels, shopping centers, cafes or libraries.
Therefore, Smart VPN allows you not only to access geo-restricted services like MX Player from anywhere in the world but also protects all your sensitive data (like passwords to your banking app or confidential emails in your business email account). It is available to our regular subscribers and keeps you safe and anonymous while browsing the Internet in any location.
